Razorbacks win first SEC title!

(Atlanta,GA) These last two weeks have been very long in anticipation for both the Razorbacks and Tigers. Coach Von Jenkins passed time in the evenings showing the players the 2008 Cotton Bowl game where Mizzou embarrassed the Razorbacks. "Every evening, Coach would bring us together and we all watched as Missouri's running back (Tony Temple) ran wild on our school," safety Eric Bennett told CBS Sports. "To say we were pissed would be an understatement," linebacker Alonzo Highsmith shared with ESPN.

Jenkins strategy of showing the 38-7 beating the 2008 Hogs took at the hands of the Mizzou Tigers worked well to motivate. The 2012 Hogs forced James Franklin to throw four interceptions. The Hogs did however have trouble stopping the option as James Franklin took it 47 yards to the house trimming the lead to three, 10-7. Not only was the turnover difference bad for Mizzou (-4), but they were unable to convert a single third down (0-5).

(Picture above: Morgan Linton, 10 yard TD reception) The toss from Tyler Wilson to Linton off of play-action seemed to give Arkansas a HUGE swing of momentum and had Mizzou begging for answers on how to stop the high powered Razorbacks. "This is only one game and today we won. I'm not so sure that we are just that much better than Mizzou," Coach Jenkins told ESPN.
